Hello hikers! Forrest here and we just wanted to update the note on our homepage.
We had a great start to 2026 and are just so thankful to have met so many great folks coming through the shop since we took over and expanded last year. We've really felt a lot of support from both the hiking community and from the local community here too and we're very thankful for it.
We've tidied up the bookshop side a little bit and moved a couple pieces of furniture around without changing the classic charm Steve helped to create in his shop, plus a few new titles on the shelves. And we've been adding lots of cool new stuff to the gift shop side, most of which has been made by friends of ours from around NH and New England. New stuff arrives weekly so stop in soon to see what's new.
We've also been brightening up the outside of the shop for the warm season with some sidewalk displays as well as a pair of benches and small table for folks to use, and even a modest dog bar with homemade dog treats generously donated by North Country Pet Supplies here in Lincoln. Another new feature outside is our new trail sign that we're really excited about. Our friends at Naughty Pines made us a few beautiful signs that we've now mounted to a birch trunk and parked it on the corner with a rock cairn at its base. We think it looks really cool and hope you will too. Please tag us on FB or IG if you take a cool photo with it.
