This latest entry in Bob Averill's Moosilauke History Series features a fascinating compilation of pieces about various aspects of the mountain's history, focusing on Forests, Rocks and People. In the Forests section, there are pieces on the mountain's forest history, the start of the White National Mountain Forest, the gravity railroad, Ravine Camp, and the elusive logging Camp 14. The Rocks section includes bedrock and surficial geology mapping, the geology of Kinsman Notch and Lost River, the Pike Quarry, gold prospecting, and a two-part history of Moosilauke's landslides written by the store owner.
