Dodge was best known as the longtime manager of the AMC huts system (late 1920s to late 1950s), overseeing its expansion acrioss the breadth of the White Mountains. He was a mountaineer, a skier, a search-and-rescue stalwart,  and a founder of the Mount Washington Observatory. He was also noted for his blunt manner and salty vocabulary.  Illustrated with many photos. 180 pp.
